Conference Banquet
On Thursday 15th at 21:00h, all IWQoS 2017 attendance is invited to participate in the Conference Banquet to be held in the restaurant Xiringuito Miramar located at the beautiful Sant Gervasi beach in Vilanova. The restaurant Xiringuito Miramar is located at the end of the Passeig Marítim, which is quite close to some of the hotels recommended by the conference.
Before the dinner, at 20:30h, it will be our pleasure to invite all attendants to enjoy the performance prepared as part of the social event.
Social Event
The castellers are human towers with a long-standing tradition in Catalunya. The castellers’ objective is to succeed on both building and dismantling a human tower’s structure (the highest towers ever built have been of up to 10 levels!). The castellers team of Vilanova, els Bordegassos de Vilanova, have reached up to nine levels (in 1999).
On November 16, 2010, the castellers were declared by UNESCO to be among the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
